Creative approaches to organizing information

Technical communicators are often required to quickly develop an outline and start writing, mainly due to product shipment pressure. This paper discusses some easy-to-use processes and tools that allow for creative information design without consuming lots of time and energy. The processes include mind mapping, brainstorming and affinity diagramming. The tool used is Inspiration software, which is a visual design tool.
