Note on the correction of frequency error in moving iron voltmeters

R O Carter · Journal of Scientific Instruments · 1932

The article examines the method of correcting the frequency error in a moving iron voltmeter by connecting a condenser in parallel with the series resistance. The commonly accepted theory is shown to involve unjustified approximations and an accurate investigation is made. The results agree with practical experience, which was not so in the case of the accepted theory. A numerical example is given.
