Fortran vs Pascal for Power Engineering Programming under MS-DOS
Robert T. H. Alden, Rajeev Krishnamurthi · IEEE Transactions on Power Systems · 1986
FORTRAN and Pascal are compared for power engineering computer applications using an Intel 8088 based microcomputer running under MS-DOS. The paper compares memory and time characteristics for a small power system problem, as well as language constructs and their implications for program development, modification, and portability.
