Data mining in engineering design: a case study

In the paper, a prediction problem encountered in engineering design is considered. The problem is solved with a data mining approach. The first of the two algorithms presented in the paper generates a solution, while the second algorithm validates this solution. Only confirmed solutions are accepted.
