NVNF-sequentiality of Left-linear Term Rewriting Systems(Theory of Rewriting Systems and Its Applications)

This paper introduces an extension of $\mathrm{N}\mathrm{V}$ -sequentiality defined by Oyamaguchi in [6].We call the extension NVNF-sequentiality.It is showed that the class of NVNF-sequential systems properly includes the class of $\mathrm{N}\mathrm{V}$ -sequential systems, and a indices with respect to NVNF-sequentiality are computed for a given term when a term rewriting system is NVNF-sequential.
