Overflow and underflow probabilities of fixed-to-variable codeword lengths for the general source

The overflow (resp. underflow) probability, i.e., the probability of the fixed-to-variable codeword length per source letter being above (resp. below) some threshold is studied for the general source to establish a general formula for the minimum achievable overflow (resp. underflow) threshold.
