10.2: Motion Artifacts in Medical Applications
Giorgio Gatti · SID Symposium Digest of Technical Papers · 2007
Abstract In this paper an overdrive compensation for motion blur artifacts of LCD displays is described. It fits to those medical applications where moving images for diagnostic purposes are presented. This compensation relies on characterization of the LCD‐display‐transitions with a full‐state‐model, DICOM‐grayscale mapping for nonlinear compensation of the human vision and overdrive on multiple frames. Transitions that cannot complete in one frame are overdriven in subsequent frames with accurate computation of levels.
