Component evaluation by means of voltage and current measurements

William W. Riggs, W. A. B. EVANS · Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control · 1981

The complex nature of real electronic components is examined, and their evaluation by means of voltage and current measurements is discussed. An electronic component meter based on these principles is described. Careful partitioning of hardware and software has led to an instrument with relatively little analogue electronic circuitry.
