Variability Of CT Point Spread Function Within The Field Of View

This experimental study was undertaken in order to clwintitatively assess how the point spread function (PSF) ot a C'l'scanner varies within the field of view (FOV). 'I'he PSF was found to be non-isoplanatic and non-isotropic but does demonstrate rotating blur. the PSF being independent ofangular position when expressed in a rotating coordinate system. These findings have implications both for edge detection and image restoration.
