Fractionally spaced semi-blind decision feedback equalization of wireless channels
D. Pal · 2002
A new procedure for identification and equalization of wireless channels is presented. The procedure is called semi-blind because it estimates the signal subspace blindly but gets trained on the phase. This technique converges very quickly and is very well suited for applications where the messages are short or the channel changes rapidly such that, e.g., every frame of a time division multiple access (TDMA) system would have to be equalized freshly. It may also be well suited for low SNR scenarios as compared to most equalizers. Unlike most other equalization procedures, this method of equalization works well for nonminimum phase channels also.>
