Developing Mathematical Concepts with Microcomputer Activities

Ten-year-old students are wearing advertising buttons that read MICROS ARE THINKER TOYS. Teachers are bringing microcomputers into their classrooms and using them with students. Teachers are, in fact, investing large amounts of time and energy in learning the capabilities of the microcomputer hardware, in searching for appropriate software, and in experimenting with different computer uses to find out what is most effective.
