System validation through automated requirements verification

The process from requirements specification, through test plan generation to system validation are outlined for an approach to automating the validation of telephone switching systems. Included are the tools and methodology required to accomplish this function with particular emphasis on the hardware and software components of the System Test Complex (STC) developed to implement these techniques. Note is also made of how the system may be expended to encompass the lower levels of the testing process.
