Agent mobility is the ability of an agent to migrate from one location to another. So far, there are several difficulties with agents' migration due to the lack of interoperability among agent middleware that is distributed over the net.In this paper, an abstract software migration architecture is presented, which is the first step towards full agent middleware interoperability. With this architecture, the process of migrating an agent is uniformly defined for multiple middleware, leaving the agent execution environment' standards as a future research. To validate the suggested abstract migration, the architecture has been successfully implemented over two different agent middleware: JADE and AgentScape.
