In this paper, the problem of H∞exponential stabilization for T-S fuzzy systems with interval time varying delay, which is more general than constant delay and bounded time varying delay, is investigated. Delay dependent stabilization conditions are derived based on a suitable Lyapunov-Krasovskii Functional and jessen's inequality. The proposed approach has two major advantages. The first is the reduction of conservatism because neither any model transformation nor Park's or Moon's inequality are employed in our theoretical derivation. The second concerns the reduction of computational complexity since neither free weighting matrix are needed. Furthermore, the decay rate of the system is determined therefore its transient process can be described more clearly. An application to control a truck trailer perturbed by interval time varying delay is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
