Interaction measure of AM-FM signals by cross-Ψ/sub B/-energy operator

In this paper a new nonlinear similarity measure, called cross“B-energy operator, to quantify the interaction between AMFM signals is introduced. We show that the time delay (TD) estimation between two sensor measurements is an example of interaction measure by “B. Results on synthetic and real signals are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. “B is compared to cross-correction for TD estimation.
