Policy-Based Multi-Datacenter Resource Management

Large enterprises operate two or more data centers for scaling and fault tolerance. Each data center maintains a certain degree of autonomy while sharing resources with other data centers. In this paper we describe how policy-based resource management can be used in existing commercial products such that each data center can control when, what, and how to share resources with other data centers.
