Spec-based tests make sure telecom software works
Larry Apfelbaum · IEEE Spectrum · 1997
Designers of contemporary telecommunications equipment face a daunting task, bringing quickly to market in an intensely competitive environment products that rely on ever more complex software. The author discusses a relatively new approach to creating software tests which is based on a graphical specification of the system's behaviour combined with an automatic test script generator. The approach is applied in Teradyne's TestMaster.
