Words inter-relationships have always been center for Information Retrieval. Researchers have successfully used query expansion to help a user in his search need. Global Analysis and Local Analysis are popularly used query expansion methods for this purpose. This paper presents a comparative study of query expansion with dynamic document analysis and thesaurus based analysis. Using the dynamic document analysis relevance increases successively when number of words added goes up to four.
