Thispaperpresents anovel multiple access scheme called peripheral state sensemultiple access withinterference control forad-hoc networks. Theschemesetssomepredefined rules toallowseveral terminals totransmit simultaneously, andsoattains multiple-input multiple-output channel capacity. Theproposed rules yield twomainbenefits. (1)Theycontrol interference levels inorder toachieve hightotal throughput. (2) Therules guarantee minimumthroughputs eventoterminals withtheminimumnumberofreceive antennas, whenterniinals withvarious numbers ofreceive antennas share a fixed band- width. Computer simulations elucidate thepotential capacity oftheproposed scheme. Theresults showthatourscheme attains higher throughput thanthearrangement thatprecludes simultaneous transmissions, while itdoesnotexcessively decrease thethroughput ofterminals withtheminimumnumberofreceive antennas. Theresults alsoshowthatdispensing withtherules degrades thethroughput.
