Formal description of ellipses in Arabic language and resolution process

The phenomenon of ellipsis is particularly difficult to be treated automatically because it isn't usually easy to characterise the elements chat we can delete. We propose a formal characterisation of the phenomenon of ellipsis and a localisation algorithm of elliptical parts of a sentence. Then, we present a certain number of classification criteria of elliptical sentences to prepare the phase of resolution itself later. Finally, we give resolution algorithms based on this classification.
