Vehicle-based Route Planning In Advanced Traveler Information Systems

This paper focuses on route planning algorithms. Test results comparing various heuristic search algorithms to each other and to traditional route planning algorithms are presented. Results show that heuristic search algorithms are more efficient route planners than shortest path algorithms.
