DATA ARCHIVING IN EPICS

The Data Archiver is operational at the Low Energy Demonstrator Accelerator (LEDA) at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).In the original design, several data taking engines were foreseen.In the implementation, the periodic engine and the monitorbased engine were combined.This paper discusses the performance, disk utilization, and use of the Archiver.It will also talk about plans for data management, the integration of the archive viewer from Jefferson Laboratory, and modularization to support other data storage methods.
