Dynamic multi-channel agility for ZigBee RF4CE (radio frequency for consumer electronics) systems

Due to the importance of interference problems, new ZigBee RF4CE standard supports basic channel agility function sets. However, the standard does not provide a fully functional channel agility mechanism. Therefore, in this paper we introduce a proactive channel agility method, which can be easily implemented with RF4CE basic function sets, and propose a dynamic multi-channel agility (DMCA), which has the ability to overcome limitations of proactive approach by coping well with dynamic interference environments by using multi-channel CCA and fast channel recovery.
