Blind Source Separation Techniques for Harmonic Current Source Estimation

Ekrem Gursoy, Dagmar Niebur · 2006

Estimation of harmonic sources in power systems is difficult because of modeling issues of the power system parameters in harmonic domain and because of the cost of instrumentation for harmonic measurements. Blind source separation techniques are used to estimate the harmonic current sources without knowledge of network topology and parameters. This contribution provides an overview of the application of a blind source separation technique called independent component analysis to harmonic source estimation
