Time series forecasting with neural networks
Chris Chatfield · 2002
Neural networks are not a universal panacea for time series forecasting. The empirical evidence is mixed. Various problems in modelling and fitting time series with NNs are identified. There is a need for greater co-operation between statisticians, forecasters and computer scientists with their widely different skills and background.
