A Novel Circular Ring Histogram for Content-Based Image Retrieval

This paper presents a novel histogram-based image Retrieval method called the Circular Ring Histogram (CRH).The CRH utilizes groups of circular rings to segment the image firstly and then build the color histogram over these rings. It is robust to the image rotation and scaling. The way to build the histogram integrates the spatial information into histogram. The experimental results demonstrate the feasibility and efficiency of our proposed scheme.
