A novel grid-box-counting method for blind separation of sources
Yang Chen, Zhenya He, Lüxi Yang · 2002
The independence of random variables (RVs) can be evaluated by simply 'counting grid-boxes'. The paper considers this interesting phenomenon, gives theoretical explanations for it and proposes a simple method for blind source separation (BSS). The new method shows high performance in separating multimedia signals and favors digital implementation.
