Examination of factors contributing to the success of the implementation of computer-aided software engineering technology

Donald Larmee Burkhard · 2002

A proposed model of computer-aided software engineering (CASE) technology consisting of variables that potentially influence the development and maintenance processes of systems is evaluated in respect to several performance measures. This study examines the effects of various factors that may lead to better systems development. The model presented views the various factors, or independent variables, as blocks that create a structure (or environment) in which systems development/maintenance takes place. The various components of the proposed model, the external driving forces, the environment building blocks, and the performance measures are depicted and discussed.>
