Microfocused computer tomography anewtypeof co-ordinate measuring technique hasalready foundit's application inindustry. Thispaperdiscusses thefunction and thestructure oftherelated totheprogramming evaluation andcorrection ofthecaptured data.Thedifferences to conventional CMM software atalllevel arepresented. Special attention isgiven totheevaluation algorithms. I INTRODUCTION Co-ordinate metrology hasnow becomea firmly established technique in industry. The universal applicability andhighdegree ofautomation accounts for it's success inthelast 25years. Withtheinvent of microfocused X-raycomputer tomography andits application as a co-ordinate measuring device the supporting software; theprogramming system, the evaluation software andtheerror compensation techniques should havebeenredefined.
