Operations system architecture for network operations

An overview is presented of telephone company network operations architecture, which consists of three integrated, equally important components: the functional architecture, the data architecture, and the computing architecture. The functional architecture defines the responsibilities of each functional module as well as the data flows between modules. The data architecture organizes the data into a corporate resource supporting the operations functions. The computing architecture is defined within the guidelines of the operations systems computing architecture (OSCA). Examples of the movement of network operations toward OSCA are enumerated.>
