A declarative programming environment based on constraints

We report on the ongoing project to develop a declarative programming environment which is well suited for simulation and planning problems. The idea for this programming environment evolved from experiences with commercial spreadsheets. As often stated in the literature, spreadsheets can be classified as declarative visual languages.
