A methodology based on objects and Petri nets for development of real-time software
Mario Paludetto, S. Raymond · 2002
HOOD/PNO is a software engineering methodology accompanied by analysis, design and implementation methods. It strengthens the object-oriented concepts throughout the whole life-cycle process. It uses overall static framework of HOOD in order to design the system structure. Petri nets are introduced to give a formal description of the dynamic behaviour and a formal validation of the system. Petri nets are also an aid for object decomposition or object construction processes. This paper summarises the object-oriented requirement analysis task and hierarchical object-oriented design task included in the methodology.>
