Efficient caching of temporary files
I. Valdes, J.-F. Paris · 2002
Caching has emerged as an important method of improving the performance of distributed file systems. May researchers have shown that network traffic, server load and file access times can all be significantly reduced by caching files on the client. The authors propose to improve cache performance by increasing flush times for temporary files and performing directory operations of temporary files on the client since temporary files have unique features that allow it.>
