Application-level IP measurements for multimedia

The benefits of application-level packet multimedia measurements are described by using VoIP as an example. The need for statistical reliability and comparative QoS analyses is illustrated, and the role of QoS measurements in providing end-to-end QoS via per-domain QoS budgets is discussed.
