Variation of Cramer-Shoup public key scheme

A variation of Cramer-Shoup's public key scheme is presented. It is shown that the new public key scheme is also secure against adaptive chosen cipher-text attack. In addition the new scheme is simpler and requires less computation than the original scheme.
