An Implementation of PARLOG for Shared-Memory Multiprocessor Environment

Ajay Sethi, Arindam Sanyal, S. Biswas · 2005

In this paper we present an implementation of PARLOG under a multi-processor operating system and the semantics of the synchronization primitives used by the implementation. Moreover, aself-scheduling algorithm for PARLOG programs is also described The implementation, a source-to-source transformation, generates machine-independent parallel C-code. The Threads-back-bone package provides the required concurrent environment and the various parallel constructs. The two-phase transition scheme provides the possibility of incorporating various machine-independent optirnizations.
