Designing FIR digital filters having exact in-band values

A Remez method for the design of filters having exactly specified in-band gain points within passbands or stopbands is presented. Design examples include exactly-specified stopband nulls and custom window functions. Additionally, a technique for reducing the order of filters having narrowband nulls is presented.
