Coverage and capacity planning for aircraft in-cabin wireless heterogeneous networks

In this paper, the coverage and capacity planning for a heterogeneous wireless network on board an aircraft composed by UMTS, Bluetooth and IEEE 802.11b access is discussed, in the frame of the WirelessCabin project. The methodology proposed takes into account the several constraints that appear in such specific environment, expected traffic scenarios and the coexistence between Bluetooth and IEEE 802.11b.
