Variation after Spin-Isospin Projection in the Skyrme Model

We calculate nucleon, delta and higher spin•isospin baryons by making variation of the hedgehog function after the spin-isospin projection.The nucleon and delta masses are lowered only a small amount as compared to the case of variation before spin-isospin projection.The axial coupling gA of the nucleon is, however, changed from 1.33 to 1.20.
