Trellis matched codes for partial response channels

Bartolomeu Ferreira Uchoa-Filho, M.A. Herro · 2002

The paper considers the design of zero run-length limited (ZRLL) trellis codes with large minimum free squared Euclidean distance, d/sup 2//sub free/, and low state-complexity, for the P/sub n/(D)=(1-D)(1+D)/sup n/ partial response channels, where n is a nonnegative integer.
