Sparking Interest in Middle and High School Students Using a Robotics Competition

For the past three years, The Citadel's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has held a LEGO robotics baseball World Series where local area schools and Citadel freshmen design autonomous baseball- playing robots to compete against each other during Engineers Week. This paper outlines the competition, the lessons learned in hosting the event, and future plans.
