Codes correcting localized errors of known value
G.A. Kabatianskii · 2002
A new class of coding-theoretical problems introduced by Bassalygo, Gelfand, and Pinsker (1989) deals with transmission systems in which the sender (but not the receiver knows a set of positions of possible errors, i.e., errors may not occur outside this set). We consider the case when the sender in addition knows a value of a possible error. We show that this case differs very much from the case investigated before.>
