Characteristics of Web Development Processes

Abstract — The nature of Web system develop-ment is significantly different from conventional software development. Amongst other factors, there is substantial uncertainty in both clients ’ un-derstanding of their needs and developers ’ under-standing of the system domain. We discuss these differences and the impact that they have on the development processes that are adopted for com-mercial Web systems.
