Abstract: This paper presents multistage interference cancellation (IC) schemes for the uplink of multirate directsequence code division multiple access (DS/CDMA) systems.The performance is evaluated both analytically and via computer simulations for two multiple data rate schemes, mixed modulation and parallel channels, assuming flat Rayleigh fading and multipath environments.
