A new ultrasonic computed tomography (m) algorithm, which reconstructs tomognms from projections with data-missing puts due to opaque obstructions such as bone or gas in the body, is pm posed. lhi~ atgorithm eriimates the miwing information by iterative modifcations on the projectional axis and the reconstructed imnge plane, respectively, wing U prim' information, Le., the object's ccoas- section boundary and the outline of the opaque obstruction. The re aula of computer simulation and bdc experiment &ow that 5-6 iterations give a good teconstructed image.
