Transducer Applications of PVDF
P.A. Howie, H.R. Gallantree · 1983
The unique properties of the piezoelectric polymer polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) have attracted considerable interest in recent years. This paper describes the design and performance of a number of transducers, with PVDF as the active material, which range from large area devices for use as underwater hydrophones to small single element devices for non-destructive testing and medical applications.
