Abstract. Designing new-generation diversity-aware tools that face up to the emerging complexity in knowledge is one of the biggest research challenges in recent years. In this paper, we provide key notions about opinion, bias and di-versity, and propose an interdisciplinary approach when managing them. Our basic tenet is that diversity should be seen as an asset rather than as a problem to be avoided a priori.
