Synchronization of Pseudorandom Signals

In this chapter we consider methods for achieving synchronization between transmitter and receiver of CDMA system, particularly the timing of the periodic pseudorandom signals. A technique for initial synchronization (acquisition) is to search through all potential spreading waveform phases. When the receiver timing has been synchronized, adjustments of the timing must be performed by “early–late gate” device.
