Fuzzy methods in handwriting recognition: an overview

We describe applications of fuzzy sets to handwriting recognition and related research possibilities. We also describe some existing handwritten databases and discuss the possibility of creating a database with some programs to enable fuzzy set researchers to apply their techniques to handwriting recognition.
