LHC e-p Option
Eberhard Keil · 1997
This report summarises the work of a small study of an e‐p option for the LHC, undertaken between November 1994 and March 1995 at the request of the CERN Scientific Policy Committee (SPC). The results were reported at the SPC meeting on 13 March 1995 and at the SL Seminar on 12 September 1996. The report is written as a primer for future studies of e‐p options for the LHC, and other large hadron colliders. It explains the design procedure which leads to an estimate of the peak luminosity.
